Lineage of Light: One Family, One Century is a sculptural cycle that maps a hundred-year journey of displacement, resilience, and eventual illumination. Spanning five generations—from the 1922 Asia Minor Catastrophe to the 21st-century potential of the next generation—this work transforms the private history of a single lineage into a universal monument to human endurance.
The series is built upon five foundational archetypes: The Root (Al-Asl), The Preserver (Al-Hafizah), The Captain (Al-Nakhuda), The Redeemer (Al-Fida'i), and The Light (Al-Noor). Each head serves as a psychological anchor for its era, engaged in a cross-century dialogue with the masters of the Western canon—from Michelangelo’s Pietà to Rodin’s Burghers of Calais.
The "Alchemy" of this project lies in its materiality. In an act of technological transmutation, I have used recycled 20th-century medical waste (PETG) to fabricate 21st-century gold artifacts. This process mirrors the survival of the lineage itself: the ability to take the discarded "scars" of history and refine them into a radiant, archival future. By aligning the weight of history with the sustainable innovation of Vision 2030, Lineage of Light asks a fundamental question for our time: What legacy of peace are we building for our children?
